First Determine What Business Idea Should Be Pursued

It is essential to find some need that has not been met yet in the business world. Without that finding or solving that problem a business won’t last. When a person finds a business that has not been met then they have a chance of being a profitable business and succeeding.

Instead of looking for solutions or ideas the best way to go about business is by just looking out for what problems might be happening and finding ways to solve those problems. Entrepreneurs get excited when a new business is on the horizon and often times overlook ways to relieve the pain from the customers’ so that the enterprise is profitable and continues to grow.

A recent study shows that the number one way to find a problem that might affect a large number of people would be to study the trends, which also includes business and demographic trends. Talk to other colleagues and friends to find out about what kind of trends they might have spotted recently. Empirical data needs to be looked at and studied along with anecdotes.

David Snyder is an independent consulting futurist at Snyder Family Enterprise in Bethesda, Md and stated the he is going to be watching the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ 10-year employment projections that will be released sometime this spring. He feels that the information will uncover data that will be fundamental and that it can be a forecast to what might possibly happen later on this year.

Joyca Goia is the president of The Herman Group in Greensboro, N.C and a strategic business futurist. She said that there are a lot of opportunities coming where moms that are busy and work at home will be able to make more money as the economy starts to recover. She is excited about all of the opportunities that might be opening up soon.

Seena Sharp is the Principal at hermosa Beach, Calif. and said that people get stuck with thinking that every idea for a business must be a home run. She said to keep in mind that not all ideas are home runs but if you can capture at least one percent then that should market just fine and without any problems. That one percent also starts to grow in time once people hear about the business and the profits can double or triple fast just by word of mouth.
