Former Auburn Players Say they were paid Thousands in college

Four former Auburn football players said that they were paid thousands of dollars during their college carriers. On among them said that he received money from an assistant coach. Stanley McClover on of the players said he received money while attending an all star camp at Louisiana State and while on recruiting visits to Ohio State and Michigan State. He was originally committed to play for Ohio but when he asked for and received money from Auburn. McClover, Raven Gray, Troy Reddick and Chaz Ramsey are the four former players who played under the coach Tommy Tuberville for Auburn and in the 2008 season the coach was fired replaced by Gene Chizik. Tuberville is the coach of Texas Tech now. Kirk Sampson the auburn Spokesman said that the Auburn Athletics declines to comment respectfully on these alleged claims apparently which was made by a few former football players. A spokesman from Texas tech said that the Tuberville also declined to comment.
The latest controversy which was surrounding the Auburn is the assertions which won the Bowl championship series in the month of January. During the season Cam Newton the star quarterback of the Tiger was dogged by a report. The report was that during his recruitment his father had tried to shop his son and attempt to receive a 6 figure sum in return for his some enrolling in the Mississippi state. The N.C.A.A said eventually that Cecil Newton father of Newton has broken the rules. N.C.A.A determined that neither he nor Auburn was aware of the actions of his father and so Cam Newton remained eligible. Newton went on to the Heisman Trophy and gave up his final year eligibility to enter the N.F.L draft by let the Tigers pas Oregon for the National Title. The N.C.A.A is still investigating the recruitment of Newton. Four players have been dismissed by the team this month and Mike McNeil is one among them. He started at safety last season after the players have been arrested on burglary, robbery and theft charges. McClover a defensive lineman from the year 2003 to 2005 said he received 7000 dollars in a book bag from My Booster to buy an automobile. He is an all southwestern conference performer in the year 2004 and he also said that he received 4,000 dollars from an Auburn booster after a dominating performance against Alabama. He also said that for each sack he recorded he would receive 300 to 400 dollars.
