It is known for its racy covers, usually featuring bikini or lingerie-clad models.

But Maxim magazine’s latest issue appears to have confused sexy with sexist.

The November cover of the U.S. edition features Australian model Jessica Gomes posing in a yellow bikini with a watering hose.

It comes as a surprise that the well-established beauty, who has modelled for major big brands such as DKNY Jeans, Levi’s, and Victoria’s Secret, would have agreed to such a cheesy shoot.

The image of the 26-year-old, dubbed ‘The World’s Hottest Swimsuit Model’, is closer in style to those from men’s magazines of the Seventies or Eighties.

Worse still, are the headlines, which offer readers ‘a girl wearing nothing but a football’ and how to ‘be her sex superhero’.

Any man tempted by such taglines will be treated to an interview with Miss Gomes inside.

If they can tear themselves from her photoshoot, they will learn that the Perth-born model, a Sports Illustrated favourite, initially hated her 36D breasts.

Giving further insight into her ‘curvier figure’, she tells the publication that while most models are a Size 2-4, her larger chest means she can only fit into size 6 garments.

‘I’m very skinny on the bottom, but then I have these big boobs,’ she said.
