Taylor Armstrong Talks Twitter Death Threats, Abuse

“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Taylor Armstrong is sharing her long history of abuse in her new memoir, “Hiding From Reality,” but is it too soon to be talking about the suicide of her late husband Russell Armstrong?

“I was journaling all through my therapy and in looking through my journals and trying to grow after all of this I saw significant patterns throughout my life,” Taylor told me on the set of “New York Live.” “[I saw] that 2-year-old little girl in her zip-up pajamas that was pulling my dad’s hair and trying to help my mom get out of her abusive situation. The self-esteem issues that I took with me, and the abandonment issues caused me just to attach myself to any guy along the way to try to fill that void. I realized that there are a lot of other women out there going though the same thing, and it was important for me to get the word out there.”

But the backlash to Armstrong’s controversial book has been so serious that the reality star was forced to get the police and FBI involved after death threats were made against her and her 5-year-old daughter, Kennedy, via Twitter.

“I decided the abuse stops here,” Armstrong said. “Kennedy is not going to have it in her life and I’m not going to have it in mine. We received a kidnapping threat for me to be kidnapped and a death threat for Kennedy. I haven’t made my final decision yet about what I’m going to do. But I do want people to know we are not going to be bullied.”

According to Radar Online, the FBI discovered that the threatening tweets were sent by a teenage girl from New Jersey. The young woman will reportedly seek professional mental health treatment in lieu of Armstrong pressing charges, although no final decisions have been made.
