High School will always have a certain cache; it is the place of dashed hopes, awkward stages and first kisses. It is also a comic gold mine.

With a premise that harkens back to “Never Been Kissed,” comes a new adults-in-high-school movie, “Stay Cool.”

The comedy is about a writer (Mark Polish) who returns to his alma mater as commencement speaker and is urged to “connect” with the class.

He ends up catching the eye of a sexy student (Hilary Duff), a situation which is made worse once his high school crush (Winona Ryder) comes back on the scene.
